Heart Fire A Celta Novel Robin D Owens Books
Few authors are able to sustain a series past 3-5 books. Not only has Robin D. Owens done this but each is a unique jewel in and of itself. The world building is excellent, consistent and deepening over time. Antemn and Tiana are the last of her main characters to find their HeartMates. The portrayal of them, their background and their journey is well founded in both story and emotion. If you enjoy romance that combines a futuristic world, psych abilities, and real feeling characters, this is the series for you. Should appeal as well to fans of Jayne Castle. No vampires, werewolves or Fae needed.
You could start with this book, but you might enjoy it more if you start earlier in the series. I'll be sorry to see the series end.

Heart Fire A Celta Novel Robin D Owens Books Reviews
Robin Owens has been thrilling her readers with the tales of Celta and the people who live there. On the planet of Celta, accepting a HeartMate is a challenge with lifelong ramifications. The people of Celta are descended from Earth, but were forced to create their own society when they could not return home. Over the centuries they have thrived and each of these books features characters that we have met before, but each is a stand-alone read.
Antenn, an architect whose brother was a murderer, was adoped by Straif Blackthorn and his HeartMate Michella. He is struggling to become accepted in the society of the GrandLords and GrandLadies. Building a cathedral outside Druida City is the commission of a lifetime and will make him famous, but more important it will make him feel accepted. Tiana is a First Level Priestess from a disgraced family. She is assigned to be the liaison for the cathedral project and it is made clear that she must accept this assignment or accept that she will no longer be promoted.
Tiana has given up hope for finding her HeartMate despite the fact that she still will occasionally search. She believes her HeartMate knows who she is and rejected her because of her family's disgrace.
Although Antenn and Tiana have an immediate conflict, they soon began to work together. The question is can they trust each other enough to overcome the severe obstacles in the way of the project, restore Tiana's family to grace and find love?
You'll enjoy your time reading this book and watching them find their way through the maze of obstacles.

In her 13th book about Celta Hearmates, Robin D. Owens brings us almost back to the beginning. In her very first book we get hints of a raggedy boy who runs with a gang.. his character grows as the series does and finally, he's all grown up and Antenn Blackthorne Moss is now a man with dreams and goals, triumphs and fears and he's ready to share his story..
Tiana Mugwort is a priestess on the fast track, her goal? To eventually be the High Priestess of Celta.. It will take time but when it happens, she feels she will finally be able to put her past behind her. The past where false accusations ruin her parents, send the family into hiding and forces Tiana to accept that there is no justice. Her goals are on track but the current High Priestess has other plans for Tiana. She wants her to recognize her talents, to use her ablity to craft ceremonies and rituals to their fullest potential. To that end Tiana has been given the job as liason to the architect who is building the cathedral for the cross folk religion. The same religion that her mother practices, the one that people used to destroy the family. Afraid and trembling Tiana knows she has no choice and accepts. Only to be thrown in with Antenn Blackthorn-Moss.. probably the sexiest architect ever..
Antenn Blackthorn-Moss may be the oldest adopted child of a first family. After an early childhood of despair he has been raised to the highest level of society. Only some members of that same society blame him for the actions of his brother. The brother who killed several members of the ruling council. How dare he think he could ever be accepted? And yet accepted he truly desires to be or at least respected. In a way to prove his value to Celta, Antenn takes on the job of designing a cathedral the likes that have never before been seen on Celta.. A challenge to be sure.. now if he can just contain his feelings around his sexy liason..
I really, really enjoyed this book. It has to be one of the best in the series. Antenn and Tiana both have something to prove. And neither is aware that the other is the one person on all of Celta designed for him/her. Physical attraction is understandable and yet from the moment they meet there is a connection that sizzles..
And their fams? Well let's just say that Zanth has some competition in the ugliest fam category..
One of the best things Ms. Owens does is grow her characters.. as I said in the beginning this is her 13th Celta book and it is as fresh and enthralling as the very first. Actually it might be even better. We watched Antenn grow through the other books. We watched him become more than just a secondary character, he was important almost from the first. And Tiana? She has been mentioned for quite some time herself.. a mere footnote in the beginning but then a friend, then a sister and finally a main character. Wonderfully done.. Telling fresh stories about characters we already know can be hard. It's easy to get lost in the back story and Ms. Owens manages to escape that particular story flaw.
I seriously recommend this series.. It's fun and unique with each story being told to highlight the individual characters. I expect great things in this series for many many more books (please)...

I have read all of the Celta books and truly enjoyed them. I have been looking forward to the story of the Turquoise House for a long time so I was very excited by Heart Fire. I have to admit that I am a bit disappointed. I am not going to give away any of the storyline because if you like Celta you will want to read this book. However, for me the two main characters, Tiana and Antenn, were just too predictable; even the inevitable conflict between them seemed contrived and easily resolved. I wanted more drama and more depth; just more something. What redeemed the story for me was the character of the famcat Ratkiller. He was a hoot! I also enjoyed listening to the voice of TQ. I gave the book four stars because I do enjoy visiting Celta and will buy books in the series still. But there were a few questions I did not get answered about TQ (to tell you what they are would give away too much of the story).

The world building is excellent, consistent and deepening over time. Antemn and Tiana are the last of her main characters to find their HeartMates.
